Tasting Tunisian Food!

As a part of our Tunisian Treasures study, we tasted different foods from Tunisia. We tasted mlewi (Tunisian bread), olive oil, harissa, tuna fish, olives and dates. The kids loved tasting different food that is grown in Tunisia. 














Then later in the day we made another Tunisian specialty... brik! Brik is fried stuffed with eggs, cheese and sometimes tuna, shrimp or other meat. We made brik using brik paper, eggs and cheese.



We scooped the egg and cheese mixture onto the brik paper and rolled it up.
















Then we put it in the oven to bake.

Ta-da! All done! 

Then it was time to eat!

Oh so yummy! Everyone loved their briks!
