Making a River

Today the PreK children made a river! We used the information we have been learning about water and rivers to create our own river.

First we put the sand inside our container and moved it up the walls to create a river. Rivers are thin and long. 

Then we added the rocks to the side of the river and in the river.

Next we added grass and plants to our river around the outside.

Then we added sticks inside the river and outside the river. 

Before adding water, we put animals that live in water inside the river and animals that drink water on the outside of the river.

Lastly we added water to our river!

All done!

We had fun making our river and look forward to playing in our river!
